LOS ANGELES — Late filmmaker David Pilot's long-awaited documentary, "Skin in the Game - The Raven Riley Story," has been released on Vimeo On Demand.
"Skin in the Game" details Riley's rapid rise to fame as an amateur online adult model in the early 2000s.
"With the help of her business manager 3X Tom, her promoter JayMan, and her devoted boyfriend Kevin Baxter, Raven Riley’s stardom and status seemed unstoppable," said a rep. "And yet, as Pilot’s footage ultimately reveals, the stigma of working in adult entertainment coupled with a propensity for self-sabotage can unravel more than one person’s career."
Pilot, who passed away last year, created the documentary using behind-the-scenes footage from Riley's first feature — Wasteland founder Colin Rowntree's "Succubus." The documentary features interviews with Riley, Rowntree, Liz Vicious, Kevin Baxter and Brandi Love, among others.
Production of "Skin in the Game" was completed in 2020, and Pilot was in negotiations with HBO and Showtime for its release at the time of his passing. His daughter then reached out to Rowntree to help shepherd the project to its premiere.
"The documentary's release has been eagerly anticipated by fans of Raven Riley, and the film promises to be a compelling and eye-opening look at the early world of online interactive porn," the rep added.
The documentary is streaming on Vimeo On Demand; it will be released across several streaming platforms later in the year.
