BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Eldorado Trading Company marked the Thanksgiving holiday by coordinating its 14th annual Thanksgiving fundraising campaign to collect donations of food and money for Community Food Share, a local Colorado nonprofit that provides food to local families and senior citizens in need.
Eldorado employees contributed $1,405, which was matched by Eldorado CEO Wanda Garland for a total donation of $2,810.
“One in 10 Coloradans worry where their next meal will come from,” a rep explained. “Every dollar donated to Community Food Share is worth $5 in groceries. Eldorado’s donation will help to fill Community Food Share’s mobile pantry truck, which provides enough food to feed 200 families for a week.”
Garland said the annual Community Food Share drive is a cherished Eldorado initiative.
“The Community Food Share drive is one of my favorite Eldorado traditions, because it provides the opportunity for us to serve our neighbors,” she noted. “Community partnership and education helps to bring awareness to the ongoing challenges of food insecurity.”
