NORFOLK, Va. — SkiiMooTech, creator of the VDOM prosthetic genital device, has won the second-place Black Ambition Prize, which includes a $250,000 award.
Black Ambition, founded by musician Pharrell Williams, awards prizes to Black entrepreneurs in consumer products and services, media and entertainment, healthcare, technology and Web 3.0.
"To have Black Ambition see me and what we’re creating, and understand it, has been a huge blessing," said SkiiMooTech founder Glenise Kinard-Moore. "What Black Ambition is doing for Black entrepreneurs is making such a massive impact. The resources we’ve had access to in the last three to four months have been incredible, and now that we have won this financial award we can continue our journey to making a difference with the launch and growth of The VDOM."
Williams expressed his enthusiasm for the entrants.
"We are so proud of all of these entrepreneurs that went through the Black Ambition Prize program, and it’s amazing to see these ideas and businesses come to life. Black Ambition paves the way for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs to turn their mighty dream into a reality," he said.
