NEW YORK — Retired performer Jennifer Steele’s self-released memoir “Adult Agency” is now available for purchase on Amazon.
Now known as Jennifer Steele Mondello, she will be embarking on a week-long media tour in New York City.
“Adult Agency,” a rep noted, “is about the importance of respecting boundaries, as illustrated by [Steele’s] 10 years in the porn industry.
The memoir alleges Steele was raped by Ron Jeremy in 1997, and describes the author as “an outspoken victim-witness against Ron Jeremy’s behavior.”
“I’ve been telling the same story for twenty-five years and finally it’s believable,” Steele said, adding that her book illustrates how “a serial rapist” escaped accountability “for years regardless of all of the red flags.”
“The first step in fixing the problem is recognizing the problem,” she added. “My story is only one of thousands.”
As XBIZ has been reporting, Jeremy is currently awaiting trial in Los Angeles, where he has remained in jail since his arrest in June 2020.
The criminal case has been at a standstill since presiding Judge George Lomeli's March 17 decision to suspend proceedings after he received reports from Goldfarb and the bailiff that the defendant was “incoherent” and could not be transported to court. Judge Lomeli then referred the case to a mental health courthouse for a decision on Jeremy’s ability to stand trial.
The case has now been postponed until Oct. 3.
According to her IAFD page, Steele has almost 70 credits as a performer released between 1999 and 2019.
Jennifer Steele Mondello’s New York City media tour includes appearances at: “It’s AGTV” today at 3 p.m.; “The Derek and Romaine Show,” tomorrow at noon; “In Hot Water,” Wednesday at noon, “The Chip Chipperson Podcast,” Wednesday at 2 p.m.; “How to Do Drugs,” Wednesday at 4 p.m.; “Golden Artist Entertainment,” Thursday at 10 a.m.; and “High Society Radio,” Thursday at 3:30 p.m. All times are PDT.
