LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has released the third scene from director-performer Seth Gamble’s “Money,” featuring Anna Claire Clouds and Violet Starr.
“The latest chapter of ‘Money’ takes its inspiration from such classics of the cinematic home invasion genre as the infamous 1977 grindhouse classic, ‘Death Game,’” said a rep. “In each, a deceptively complacent man is enjoying a rainy evening at home when two young ladies show up on his suburban doorstep, drenched and claiming to be lost.”
Head of production Axel Braun praised “Money” as “a visual anthology showcasing five glam performers in scenarios that depict avarice and narcissism — but also empowerment.”
At its core, Gamble explained, it is "a story about a man who’s held hostage by a pair of seemingly motiveless young women in an overtly sexualized, proto-'Funny Games' scenario."
"It was an intense shoot and I’m incredibly fortunate that my crew — James Avalon, Ryan Ray, Billy Visual and Shaun Rivera — can be counted on to show up and do their best work no matter, because it’s all about the work," Gamble said. "You have to show up no matter what the budget is or what personalities are involved and do the work, and do it the best you can. And they always do."
Gamble also enthused about his co-stars.
"You can make the argument that Anna Claire and Violet are the story's true protagonists," he noted. "In their view, they're dishing out a twisted form of justice against someone who is not only being punished for his own deeds, but is also serving as a surrogate for the society that made them that way."
Starr gushed about the fun the performers had while filming.
"Working on Wicked’s production of 'Money' was better than I could've imagined," she said. "The set was filled with nonstop fun, laughter and sex."
Clouds said she "a wonderful experience" working with Gamble Seth, his crew and Starr.
"Getting the chance to be on set with such a professional crew and amazing talent is always going to lead to an unforgettable day," she said. "The project was so much fun to be a part of and I’m so excited to share the magic with everyone."
Ivy Wolfe, Vanna Bardot and Kenzie Anne round out the cast.
