LOS ANGELES — Grooby will host the 2022 Grooby Camp adult industry conference from July 13-14.
Last summer's inaugural series of free educational webinars was launched during the height of the pandemic and welcomed over 200 attendees.
“We had such enthusiastic interest in last year’s event that I wanted to bring it back again, especially as our performers have had to navigate the business during the pandemic,” Grooby Creative and Editorial Director Kristel Penn said. “Resources are still relevant and thanks to the generous support of our speakers, newcomers and veterans alike will be able to learn from some of the best in our industry.”
Penn noted that the conference is open to all cis and trans performers and content creators; however, Grooby Camp was created with the specific intention of supporting the trans adult industry.
“Many trans adult performers make their porn debuts through Grooby, and we are one of the leading producers in our genre, so we thought it would be helpful to provide resources to those newcomers thinking about entering adult work and seasoned professionals alike,” Penn continued. “It is important to us that performers, trans and cis, are able to make empowered decisions about navigating the adult industry and we believe that starts with making educational resources accessible to those who need them.”
Featured speakers are currently set to include Penn, company founder Steven Grooby, Reba Rocket of Takedown Piracy, Anna Lee of 2049 Entertainment, Alice Skary of JustFor.fans, producers Penny Petalz and Nikki Sequoia, filmmaker Fivestar of Filth Syndicate and reps from the Free Speech Coalition, as well as Saki Cruise, Keith Eros, Jamie French, Domino Presley and Buddy Wood.
