Penthouse Names Alex Kay as June's 'Pet of the Month'

LOS ANGELES — Penthouse Magazine has named Swedish model Alex Kay as June's Pet of the Month.

Kay is “a sultry bikini, lingerie and fitness model,” a rep noted.

“It is honestly such an honor to model for Penthouse,” Kay enthused. “Penthouse is well known in the industry for a reason. They take nudity and transform it into art with such a creative flare. I loved seeing it all come together during my shoot and I am so grateful for the experience.”

Kay began her career as a fitness model. “I played rugby for seven years,” she said. “My positions were fly half and fullback. I still love rugby so much.”

Prior to becoming a model, the rep said, the health-minded vegan worked in the real estate industry, as a bartender, and in the medical field. Kay declared that if she could pick any career, it would be her current one as a model.

“Honestly, I am so in love with my job. I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love, and I cherish every moment of it,” she said.

Penthouse CEO Moose said the brand is “delighted” to welcome Kay into the fold.

"She is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well," Moose added. "Alex is a health-conscious individual who cares about taking care of herself and others, and it shows in her amazing photos."

Creative Director Drew Rosenfeld congratulated Kay as well.

“She’s successful, smart, talented and, of course, stunning. It was such a pleasure to have Alex on our set. She is a professional that knows how to model and it shows.”

Penthouse Director of Pet Projects Sam Phillips observed that Kay is “not your average bombshell.”

“She's smart and determined and her adventurous personality has led her to where she is now, on the cover and pages of Penthouse,” Phillips added. "Alex follows her heart wherever it leads and has paved her own path in life. She is living the life of her dreams — and looking at Alex's layout, we are living ours.”
