When Kenzie Anne exploded onto the scene in 2021 with built-in Instagram fame, a skyrocketing Twitter following, a Vixen Media Group contract, Playboy and Penthouse honors and a mainstream modeling resume, the adult industry naturally took notice.
Because while many a gonzo great or feature-ready actress has taken the biz by storm, quickly becoming household names known for their sexual athleticism, raucous raunch or unforgettable cinematic roles, sometimes a performer comes along with that inexplicable X factor.
Within minutes of meeting Anne at an XBIZ-exclusive Motley Models gathering in May 2021, subsequently interviewing her for the May issue of XBIZ World magazine and watching her career just fly and fly and fly, it was crystal clear she had that X factor in spades. And if there is one element that XBIZ prides itself in seizing upon quickly, it’s the leading-edge, be it business, talent or sizzling trends.
When she talks, laughs and dances about, Anne is fun, pleasant, captivating, memorable and as real as it gets.
When she opens up about her ups and downs, her struggles and triumphs, it resonates and demonstrates an underlying resilience that forms a formidable backbone to her starry radiance. This is no mere swallowtail butterfly catching the eye and crumbling at the merest touch.
Now, having been crowned 2022 XBIZ Best New Performer at a ceremony where she also took home one of the most wildly competitive trophies — Best Vignette Sex Scene, with Jax Slayher for Blacked’s “Black & White 19,” which was her first-ever boy/girl scene to boot — Anne has only just begun to unfurl the resplendent banner of her career.
Take a walk on the wild side with one of the fastest-rising adult entertainment personalities in quite some time, as Anne opens up about her banner year and the milestones she’s racing to meet.
XBIZ: What are the biggest ways you've become empowered since going full-force in adult entertainment this past year?
ANNE: Since joining the adult industry as a porn star, I feel like there is no side of myself I have to hide or feel ashamed of. I get to be myself in every room I walk into. I also discovered how unconditionally loved I am by my friends and family.
XBIZ: Describe how your understanding of the camera, production and performing has advanced.
ANNE: I’ve learned a lot being on set this past year. I’ve learned how to slow down my words as I go through dialogue, I’ve learned how to utilize my flexibility in sex positions and — absolutely most importantly — I’ve learned to let go. Sex is fun and you can’t really mess it up, so just go with it, read body language and enjoy the ride.
XBIZ: Who in this business helps keep you grounded, and who inspires you to fly ambitiously higher? Besides your adorable dog Lola, of course.
ANNE: I became really close with Aiden Ashley and she constantly keeps me at an inspired place in this industry. We both speak each other’s names into rooms of opportunity, which is so rare, to have that reciprocated. We have conversations about life after porn and the opportunities this job has given us to create more for ourselves in our future.
She also keeps me sane when I have days where I’m not in the mood to be the happy and bubbly Kenzie Anne the world knows me as; she reminds me to stay in touch with the good sides of my past and my present.
XBIZ: Talk about your independent projects, which include OnlyFans, NFTs, Kenzieland.com and more. How do you balance everything and what's your main focus?
ANNE: I won’t lie about the fact that, because I’m not exclusive to any company now, I’m a very booked woman. In fact, I have to request time off to make sure I can turn my phone off and not worry about work a few days out of the month. On those days, I take care of my skin, hair, nails, body and soul.
I try to keep my OnlyFans content going by collaborating with two to four people a month. My NFTs are handled so easily by my Pokmi team and Kenzieland is run by Fangear.vip, and I’m focusing more on merch products rather than videos at the moment.
I have a lot on my plate and I do have to prioritize certain things at different times. Right now, mainstream porn companies have huge projects I’m involved in and I’m putting my all into that basket until it’s time to adjust.
XBIZ: Discuss your experience shooting with Jax Slayher for the 2022 XBIZ Best Vignette Sex Scene for Blacked.
ANNE: That was absolutely incredible; I felt like a queen. I still enjoy all the Twitter GIFs from that scene. The fans went hard on that one. Jax was also one of my first friends in the industry and I will never forget the things he taught me. He made me feel so comfortable and reminded me how to position my body to be the sexiest “me” and open up to the camera. More importantly, he allowed me to relax and just enjoy the sex and the day. My mind is still blown looking at the award sitting on my glass shelf as I write these answers out; what an accomplishment!
XBIZ: What is your strategy for staying on top of all your social media promo and interactions?
ANNE: There honestly isn’t one! I’ve always said I genuinely enjoy social media and it’s natural for me to be on it every day. I get back to comments that make me smile or laugh, enjoy GIFs that bring me sex flashbacks and I’m always eager to post new images, upcoming scene release dates or fresh videos for everyone to see.
XBIZ: How has your relationship with Motley Models, from the agents to other talent on the roster, helped grow your career?
ANNE: Whenever I walk into the Motley Manor, I feel like I’m with my family. I hug and kiss every one of those women and I’m so proud to be a part of that family. Dave is a badass who gives every one of us heaping handfuls of opportunity.
Ryan Kona feels like my best friend; that man is there for me for everything. He’s seen me ascend to be on top of the world and he’s seen me whenever I’m under a rock, which is when he reminds me that I’m a superstar. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without my Motley crew.
XBIZ: What was it like winning Best New Performer at the 2022 XBIZ Awards?
ANNE: Ah! I want to cry answering this. I’m also still laughing at my acceptance speech! I was so excited and shocked that I really had no idea what to say. I had to work on set the next day at 8 a.m. so taking a tequila shot that night was off the table, but I went home smiling from ear to ear.
Having performers, directors and producers I’ve looked up to for years know my name and congratulate me has made me feel appreciated and inspired to level up consistently and show up to every set as the best version of “Kenzie Anne.”
XBIZ: Tell us about a few recent shoots you're especially excited to see released.
ANNE: Oh boy, this entire year is planned out and booked. I really can’t share much about the future of 2022, but let’s just say, it’s already shaping up to be a “Kenzie” year.
I started the year out with two XBIZ trophies, became Bombshell of the Month for Holly Randall, flew to Turks and Caicos Islands to film, was photographed as a Full Send girl… and the rest will have to stay a secret, but stay tuned because this year has been nothing but good news.
XBIZ: What are your "big picture" goals for 2022 and beyond?
ANNE: I see myself being able to switch into mainstream productions in modeling and acting. I know for a fact it is in me to gravitate towards the right people and capture their eye to get me working on both sides.
