PARIS — Dorcel has signed an exclusive VOD distribution deal with HardWerk, the production studio co-founded by director-producer Paulita Pappel and director Rod Wyler, covering Africa, Canada, Europe and the United States.
Founded in 2020, HardWerk presents "multi-person sex scenes from a feminist perspective with highly polished cinematography," a rep said.
"At HardWerk, we choose our collaborators and partners carefully," noted Pappel. "We want to work with companies and people who fit our philosophy and purpose. That's why we're thrilled to work with Dorcel, an established and worldwide recognized brand that stands for quality films and fair production standards. We are confident that our productions are in good hands."
Pappel has been involved in Berlin's queer feminist community for more than a decade as an advocate for a positive culture of sex and consent, and by addressing societal taboos through her films.
She shot her first scenes as a performer in 2010, for Erika Lust. Pappel created the couples-friendly platform Lustery.com in 2016 and began directing and producing her own videos. She also works as an intimacy coordinator for mainstream productions and has served as a programmer and curator for the PornFilmFestival Berlin since 2013.
