MONTREAL — Ariel Demure and Cadence Lux star in "Ray of Sunshine" from Adult Time studio brand Transfixed and the directorial debut of Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q.
The directing team collaborated with producer and Adult Time CCO Bree Mills on the project, which also marks the return of Lux to Transfixed since 2019's "How We Met," opposite Natalie Mars.
“Coming back and working for Transfixed after a few years was absolutely amazing," said Lux. "Bree and her entire crew really know how to treat their talent and make the entire set experience feel so safe and welcoming."
"I hadn’t familiarized myself with Ariel and her work when Bree suggested we work together," she continued. "I never argue with Bree about a potential pairing. Ariel and I had amazing chemistry and I really feel that it shines through in this scene."
Demure added, "The chemistry on- and off-camera with Cadence was electric. She was a blast to work with. Then with Michael and Siouxsie at the helm, this ended up being one of the most fun days I've had on set yet."
Siouxsie Q noted, as "a lifelong LGBTQ+ organizer and activist," the opportunity to "have a part in the creation of beautiful, trans-inclusive lesbian content is a dream come true."
"I hope that showcasing these consent- and pleasure-centered experiences between adult film performers like Ariel and Cadence celebrates trans sexuality in a way that feels uplifting and affirming, especially as our country continues to enact policies that harm trans individuals," she added. "One trans-inclusive adult film won’t end the transphobia that harms so many in our community, but I hope this little sexy romantic comedy at least helps chip away at the problem. It will take all of us leaning into and imagining a world free from it to get to the other side."
Vegas expressed pride in the creation of "Ray of Sunshine."
"I am so proud of what we created with this episode: it's a lovely snapshot of sex-positive healing and true friendship that shows how expansive a relationship can be, when given the chance to bloom," he said. "Ariel and Cadence were an amazing pairing and really brought it with their acting skills. Directing alongside my real-life partner Siouxsie Q is so rewarding and enjoyable. I truly feel that we are a real dream team of adult industry veterans, as we each bring such a unique set of complementing skills when we collaborate."
Mills noted the vignette will be the first of a series to be helmed by the directing team.
“I’m extremely proud of the roster of talented creators we are building at Transfixed,” Mills said. “I love seeing the passion and care going into these productions and Siouxsie and Michael are shining examples of how to do porn differently."
