POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — M.D. Science Lab, maker of the Swiss Navy brand, is recognizing the intent of International Women’s Day to celebrate the cultural, economic and social achievements of women by giving a nod to their own female-centric collection, Desire by Swiss Navy.
Celebrated annually on March 8, International Women’s Day began in New York City on March 8, 1857, when female textile workers marched in protest of unfair working conditions and unequal rights for women, and has since turned into a global event.
“International Women’s Day means a lot to me because I’ve always been passionate about creating products made specifically for the female body, and I’m very proud that I was able to make this personal dream come to life last year with the release of our Desire by Swiss Navy collection,” M.D. Science VP of Sales and Marketing Briana Watkins said.
“I drew on my commitment and inspiration to build a line of products developed by women, for women, all uniquely supporting female intimate wellness and sexual health. And I’m happy to share that our award-winning Desire products have been bestsellers since Day One,” Watkins continued.
Watkins is hoping that this year's International Women’s Day can serve as a reminder for women to make their intimate health a priority.
“This year’s theme is 'Breaking the Bias' to imagine women’s equality,” Watkins shared. “This means having intimate products that recognize not all bodies are the same and creating products for different pH levels or microbiomes is important, since we all know one size does not fit all.”
