ASACP Returns to Barcelona for TES Affiliate Conference

LOS ANGELES — ASACP will be returning to Barcelona for the TES Affiliate Conferences, set for Feb. 23-26 at the Hotel Calipolis, in Sitges, Spain.

According to a rep, TES, an ASACP Sponsor since 2010, has been one of ASACP’s "most stalwart supporters, providing a high level of assistance that has enabled the association to educate operators across Europe and beyond about the vital need for online child protection.”

“From the onset, TES was intent on creating a great networking experience for its attendees,” the rep added. “In our high-tech world, it is of supreme importance that excellent interpersonal relationships be developed and maintained, as they are the cornerstones of building a successful business.”

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will participate in the Sitges event, thanks to the support of TES, which will provide complimentary show admission, accommodations and promotion. Also, ASACP will sponsor the refreshment station, with welcome drinks on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, the association will host the coffee, cake, snack and hot dog stations on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 24-25, providing attendees with an informal networking hub.

At TES, Henning will educate app developers, website owners, service providers and other market stakeholders on how they can protect their companies while protecting children on the internet.

“I am very excited to reunite with everyone in person and for the opportunity to make new ‘real world’ connections,” Henning offered. “While virtual events have provided an easy and safe alternative for doing business in a world hamstrung by the pandemic’s travel restrictions, there is no replacement for in-person, one-on-one meetings.”

“I truly look forward to attending TES and reconnecting with both old and new friends alike,” he added. “It will be an important step in moving the industry, and the state of online child protection, forward into the future.”

DialXS, the association’s official travel sponsor, will underwrite Henning’s travel expenses.

“DialXS is very much aware that for a nonprofit organization such as ASACP, it is challenging to get new sponsors onboard without meeting relevant decision-makers in person,” said Chris Visser of DialXS. “Because of this, DialXS is making sure that ASACP will be able to attend TES 2022 in Sitges.”

Henning said that TES is an integral part of the association’s annual fundraising and outreach efforts.

"These market-leading companies are doing their part to promote the interests of child safety and the industry at large,” Henning concluded. “Their support allows the association to reach out to other stakeholders and to present our message of corporate and social responsibility. Together, we can make a positive difference for the future.”
