LOS ANGELES — X3 Expo has unveiled the lineup of movie screenings taking place at the inaugural fan show, featuring R-rated versions of 2022 XBIZ Awards "Movie of the Year" nominees “Blue Moon Rising,” “Casey: A True Story,” “Muse 2” and “Primary 2.”
The R-rated versions have been exclusively edited for X3 Expo by their respective directors and studios.
MissaX’s "Blue Moon Rising," with seven XBIZ Awards nominations, is a supernatural thriller helmed by Ricky Greenwood.
The film — featuring special effects by a Hollywood professional — follows Aiden (Aiden Ashley) after a torrid night with a stranger (Dante Colle). She is found naked in the woods by Brooklyn (Brooklyn Gray) who carries her to safety. Scared, Aiden runs away, seeking safety with a detective (Tommy Pistol), who interrogates her about the night and tries to piece out what happened to her. The movie's suspenseful plot probes whether Pistol would be able to find out what really happened to Aiden — or will he have to face the secret of the beast that emerges when a blue moon rises.
“I’m excited for everyone to see the movie,” Greenwood told XBIZ. “We spent a lot of time creating it and trying to give everyone a unique movie that mixes sex and horror. Aiden gives everything she's got and Tommy delivers his usual — an incredible performance. Those two amazing actors are supported by a revelatory turn by Brooklyn.”
Greenwood said “Blue Moon Rising” is “something different than what people expect from adult flicks. I’m proud of MissaX for letting me direct this special movie and I can’t wait to rediscover my movie with a real live audience. I’m sure they will have a lot of questions and Tommy, Aiden and myself will be honored to answer them!”
Adult Time’s “Casey: A True Story," directed by Joanna Angel and nominated for seven XBIZ Awards categories, stars Dante Colle as a small-town drifter named Cameron who joins a local biker club and meets a woman (Khloe Kay) with a secret, one so powerful that it starts the wheels in motion towards changing the course of Cameron’s life forever — and results in a life lived boldly as a woman named Casey.
Co-star and biopic subject Casey Kisses gave “a big thank you to the organizers for the opportunity to screen ‘Casey: A True Story’ at X3 Expo.”
“I am elated at this incredible opportunity to have a screening like this for those who want to see this film,” Kisses enthused.
Deeper’s "Muse 2" has earned a total of eight 2022 XBIZ Awards nominations and follows the story of a notorious professor (Maitland Ward) and those around her who are forced to grapple with their various roles as both victims and aggressors when a past student comes forward with serious allegations against her.
The serialized narrative teems with erotic tension, grounded performances, cinematic sex, and Deeper's signature visuals, deploying its unique aesthetic to foreground what goes on behind closed doors.
"I am very excited for the screening of ‘Muse 2’ at X3 Expo,” said director Kayden Kross. “I want to thank the organizers for this incredible opportunity.”
“I look forward to everyone's thoughts on this film,” Kross added, “and I hope everyone enjoys the viewing as much as we had making this film."
Lust Cinema's "Primary 2" stars Casey Calvert, Victoria Voxxx, Ana Foxxx, Kira Noir, Derrick Pierce and Cam Damage in a drama about the complexity of modern relationships in Los Angeles. Nominated for eight XBIZ Awards categories, the production follows a group of intertwined people as they navigate break-ups, new relationships and polyamory.
“I'm so excited to be able to screen 'Primary 2' at X3 Expo," Calvert, who also directed, told XBIZ. "It's such an incredible opportunity to take my production from the laptops and TVs in people's bedrooms and bring it to the big screen in front of an audience, where the storytelling can really shine."
"I'm honored to have such an incredibly talented cast and crew, who put so much of their skill and energy into this," Calvert enthused. "I'm looking forward to showcasing just how proud I am of this film and the world Lust Cinema encouraged me to create."
