SAN FRANCISCO — Tickle.life has announced the launch of four new sexual wellbeing podcasts — “Back to Basics,” “Sex-Ed Speakeasy,” “Talking about Sex: Tell Me Your Story” and “Sexual Wellness Startup.”
The new hosts are Lulu Batista and Laura Johnsen (“Back to Basics”), Angel Russell and Steven Russell (“Sex-Ed Speakeasy”), Linnea Marie and Calandra Balfour (“Talking about Sex: Tell Me Your Story”) and the Tickle.life global team (“Sexual Wellness Startup”).
The “Back to Basics” podcast, the hosts explained, “aims to help people who haven’t received comprehensive sex education. We want to provide resources and share our own experiences to make learning about sex fun and lighthearted.”
“Sex-Ed Speakeasy” podcast will survey how sexuality has been perceived throughout history, “with a dash of humor and a special episode cocktail on the side,” said a rep.
The show is hosted by Tickle.life’s Head of Production Steven Russell and company COO Angel Russell.
“Angel and I have been creating sex-ed media together for over five years, and all our content has been just that: education which we make entertaining,” said Steven Russell, describing the titular speakeasy as “a place where we can let our hair down and have fun first, while hopefully teaching something at the same time.”
“Talking about Sex: Tell Me Your Story” will feature “real, raw, and entertaining conversations about sex, relationships and dating,” the rep continued.
Sexpert Linnea Marie said, “I can't wait to hear and discuss real-life stories that also double as learning lessons. Learning through real experiences can help our listeners so much in all aspects of sex and sexuality. A great sex life looks different to everyone and is nurtured, it just doesn't happen, so these podcasts are important.”
“There’s one thing I know from my years’ experience as a sex educator,” co-host Balfour added. “People find it hard to talk about sex, and it is hard to communicate what you want. It takes bravery to be honest with those around you, and sometimes it’s even harder to be honest with yourself. My fantastic guests all share their challenges and celebrations in walking that path of honesty and disclosure.”
“Sexual Wellness Startup” will be a behind-the-scenes look at team learning at Tickle.life. Once a week, the editorial team will joined by COO Angel Russell for planning, education, and deeper-level discussion about relevant sexual wellness topics from around the world.
Tickle.life is also inviting other “sexual wellbeing” podcasters to use their podcasting platform, described as a “sex-positive hosting service,” for free.
“We want to make sure the sexual wellness industry can support itself and talk about everything that the society has long asked us to be silent about," CEO Shakun Sethi said.
The podcasts can be found on Tickle.life and most major podcast platforms; follow the company on Twitter.
