LOS ANGELES — #SexTalkTuesday has announced that First Amendment expert and adult industry attorney Lawrence G. Walters, of Walters Law Group, will serve as guest moderator for this week's edition of the Twitter-based chat show to discuss the legal issues "currently impacting content creators and the wider adult industry" from 5-6 p.m. (PDT).
Walters has represented the adult industry for over three decades with a focus on adult website operators, webcam networks, fan sites and content creators throughout the world, noted a rep. His firm provides "operational advice to adult industry clients on a wide variety of issues including intellectual property, First Amendment rights, DMCA safe harbor, FOSTA/SESTA, 2257 compliance, internet platform operations, mobile apps, content review and litigation at all levels."
"Mr. Walters’ cases include defense of numerous high-profile obscenity prosecutions, civil rights claims and complex intellectual property disputes," continued the rep. "He regularly comments in the national print and television media on free speech and censorship issues and is a widely published author. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Walters is a patent-holder, and developer of several mobile applications such as Quick2257 and QuickDMCA."
Angie Rowntree, producer of #SexTalkTuesday and the founder of Sssh.com, welcomed Walters back to #SexTalkTuesday.
"Given recent events especially, we are pleased that this week’s segment not only has some great topics for discussion, but is also sure to be very educational as well — so bring your questions," she said. "Whether you are a consumer of adult content, or a content creator yourself, it is absolutely vital to stay informed, and also to never take for granted the freedom of expression that we enjoy — and depend on — as an industry."
Walters said he is "thrilled to be back as a guest moderator of #SexTalkTuesday."
"I look forward to engaging on the important legal issues affecting the today’s adult industry," he added.
