PornRocket Announces intimate.io Purchase Deal

LOS ANGELES — PornRocket has announced “it will enter a definitive agreement” to acquire intimate.io, a company specializing in blockchain-related payment systems for the adult industry.

PornRocket launched a cryptocurrency on May 26 and their adult content platform is set to officially go live by the end of 2021, although a preview has been released.

A rep said the company hopes the new acquisition “will enable the PornRocket team to leverage what intimate.io has achieved and accelerate the trajectory of becoming the most adopted no-fee adult content platform.”

As part of the acquisition, Reuben Coppa, the CEO and founder of intimate.io, will be joining PornRocket as a strategic advisor.

Coppa said intimate.io “was founded in 2017 based on a solid business proposition and years of experience in the crypto and adult industries. We built a functional product, on-boarded dozens of partners and grew a strong presence globally.”

Since intimate.io’s founding, Coppa continued, “the crypto ecosystem has matured significantly, and the barriers to consumer adoption are now much lower thanks to more advanced crypto-wallets and decentralized exchanges. Now more than ever, it is high time to disrupt the adult industry with crypto.”

“It's incredibly exciting to continue this journey together with PornRocket and to be a part of the incredible momentum, support, and community that they have created,” Coppa added.

Company reps said the transaction “is expected to close by July 15, and is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.”
