LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support has announced a webinar for anyone in the adult industry who wants to learn more about borderline personality disorder (BPD).
The webinar will be hosted by licensed mental health counselor Rachael Wells tomorrow at 2 p.m. (PDT).
The “Borderline and Strong — Myth-Busting BPD” webinar will explore the disorder, its origins and development and the many misunderstandings in the mental health community about this condition. Wells will also cover treatment options and support to encourage healing.
"Borderline personality disorder affects not just your behavior and your relationship with others, but also how you feel about yourself," said Wells. "The most important thing [to remember] is that we do recover. Many people with BPD can learn to live fulfilling lives with time, treatment and support. Accessing sex-positive and stigma-free support for BPD as a sex worker is paramount for treatment."
Pineapple Support Founder Leya Tanit noted the webinar isn't only for performers with BPD.
"Rachel will also educate industry workers about the disorder, as well as provide useful insight and knowledge for those who live with or spend time with people with BPD," she said.
The “Borderline and Strong — Myth-Busting BPD” webinar is scheduled to last one hour but may be extended. For more information and to access the webinar link, visit PineappleSupport.org.
