AUBURN, Wash. — Sexual wellness brand and retailer Lovers will celebrate Pride throughout June by commissioning 10 LGBTQIA+ visual artists to create a piece of art that interprets "orgasm," with 100% of the sale of prints of select pieces to be donated to Lambda Legal and APLA Health.
On June 14, all 10 works in the series, titled "Lovers Artist Series: Pride Edition," will be unveiled in the Lovers virtual gallery for viewing and online voting. The three artworks that collect the most votes will be available for sale on June 25 as an 8x10 print for $24 apiece.
A set of three prints can be purchased, sight unseen, through June 14 at a 20% discount for $60.
"Lovers created the 'Lovers Artist Series: Pride Edition' to amplify the work of inspiring and transformative queer artists, as well as to support nonprofit organizations serving the LGBTQIA+ community," noted a rep. "Lovers is committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces for all people to be their authentic selves. This provocative series will continue conversations around visibility, acceptance and the complexity of pleasure and identity."
