SEATTLE — Kimberly Kane explores the differences and similarities between "MILF" and "Mommy Fetish" content in both a recently published post on her official website and a new OnlyFans scene.
Kane, winner of XBIZ Awards for “Female Acting Performance of the Year” in 2010 and “Best Parody Sex Scene" in 2016, has been using her nearly two decades of experience in the adult entertainment industry to craft articles for her personal blog.
In the piece published this week, Kane discussed two issues: her lack of enthusiasm for the MILF genre, and her revolt against algorithm-driven adult content.
The term "MILF" was being used on internet message boards prior to 1999, but Kane cites a story from “The Howard Stern Show" that noted "it wasn’t popularized until the raunchy 1999 comedy ‘American Pie.’”
Kane said the demand to make more MILF content has reduced the options for female performers "over 28 years old" to just playing MILFs and that a desire avoid being pigeonholed has pushed her, and other performers, towards making their own product.
“The appetite for MILF content is ravenous, and the algorithm is all-consuming. That's why some actresses refuse to work in the genre: it can become all you do, and all the fans see when they search your name,” Kane wrote.
In addition to making her own content, Kane has leaned into exploring 'Mommy Fetish,' which she describes as more overtly Oedipal.
"'Mommy Fetish' isn't about scoring with the neighborhood MILF,” Kane said. "It's a softer MILF, not a ferocious sex cougar.”
