BERLIN — Lustery is launching an anal education campaign through their blog and social media channels on April 18, International Anal Day.
The campaign aims to provide explicit information on safe anal sex under the hashtag #everythingbutt.
Lustery, explained a rep, is “an inclusive platform for couples around the world to share their intimate videos in a safe manner. We want people to have access to visual information about anal intercourse.”
“There is a reason why ‘anal' is one of the most-searched-for categories at Lustery, and also other sites, and it’s no secret that pornography has been used not only for pleasure but also for personal education, for better or for worse,” the rep added. “For those without access to a comprehensive sex education — often the vast majority of viewers — there can be little choice other than to find inspiration in pornography.”
The rep explained that although “from Cosmopolitan to Teen Vogue, there are many ‘How To’ guides out there, none of them demonstrate explicitly how anal sex can be done in a safe manner.”
While Lustery admits “it is neither the function nor the responsibility of porn to educate people, the company recognizes that their model based on genuine encounters between real couples may be able to offer a candid and demystifying perspective on anal sex.”
As part of the campaign, Lustery will stream one full free, NSFW video by real-life couple Nicole and Bruce, who share their knowledge with everyone who wants to see the authentic preparation, performance and aftercare of anal sex.
Nicole and Bruce describe themselves as anal newbies who are still discovering a whole new pleasure realm.
“We would have loved to find some inspiration and information, but when we searched for visual educational material that does not neglect the pre- and aftercare, there was none,” they stated.
According to Lustery's co-founder Paulita Pappel, “anal play is a pleasurable practice that is becoming more and more common, whereas proper sex education around it is scarce.”
“At Lustery, we’re happy to be able to provide a realistic and sex-positive approach to it," Pappel added.
On International Anal Day, April 18, Lustery will provide a link to the video that can be accessed for free until the end of the month.
In addition, Lustery’s POV blog will focus on the topic of anal play and education throughout April.
The blog offerings include an article by “All the Dirty Little Things” author Jamie Bell, focused on how to enjoy anal play; a piece on prostate milking by regular contributor Jake Hall; an interview with an anal toy entrepreneur; a listicle clarifying some of the pervasive myths around anal sex; and Lustery’s themed monthly video playlist.
Throughout the month, the company will also publish a series of anal-focused vlogs shot by real-life couples.
