Pornhub to Boost Ad Revenue for Model Program

LOS ANGELES — Pornhub has announced ad revenue will be boosted for free-to-view videos starting April 1 for participants in their Model Program.

“As you know, we started out the new year by promising our Model community transparency and support through these difficult times,” a published statement explained. “Not only has the world, in general, experienced change and transformation in the last year but the adult industry, too.”

For the last three months, the statement continued, the company “offered a payout bonus to our models to show our appreciation for your patience, suggestions and dedication while we continue working on reinstating credit card transactions.”

Starting on April, 1, the statement revealed, ad revenue for free-to-view videos will be increasing by over 15%, a number the company claims to be “the highest ad revenue payout of any adult site.”

“We currently pay out 80%-plus of the ad revenue that your video earns, and that's based on the performance of the ads around your video,” the statement continued. “And now with the over 15% increase, free-to-view videos continue to be a great way to earn money on Pornhub and grow your own brand with the help of 150 million daily users.”

With the change of ad revenue, the company will no longer be offering additional bonuses.

The breakdown of the changes, in Pornhub’s words, is as follows:

  • Ad revenue will increase by over 15% for free-to-view videos
  • This continues to be the highest ad revenue payout of any adult site
  • This is a permanent change for the Pornhub Model Program
  • You can increase it by another 5% if you opt-in for Exclusivity, which will also allow us to protect your content (click here)
  • This ad revenue will continue even if we reinstate credit card transactions
