Sophie Dee Enters NFT Marketplace, Mints 'Virtual Girlfriend Token'

LOS ANGELES — Sophie Dee has entered the swiftly growing NFT marketplace with the launch of her Virtual Girlfriend Token (VGT).

An NFT — which stands for "non-fungible token" — is a unique crypto token that contains extra information (such as a photo or video). While an NFT may be an image or a video that can be viewed or downloaded, it can be sold like a physical collectible due to artificial scarcity, especially if the actual owner or creator of the content endorses it as the “official” NFT.

Dee’s NFT auction can be found at BaeBay.co; bids will end on March 25. The person who owns her VGT will enjoy special access for calling and texting Dee. Additionally, the VGT’s owner will be able to view never-before-released content.

"I am very excited to try something new and cutting-edge with cryptocurrency. During these times of problems with Visa and billing, it's amazing to jump into the crypto digital token game. I can't wait for my fans to try it,” Dee enthused. “Whoever ends up buying my VGT is getting one-of-a-kind content that I created, as well as the opportunity for access to me."

The entrepreneurial performer counts over 10 million followers on Instagram and 1.1 million on Twitter, and has launched the ShoutOutExpress advertising platform for stars and influencers.

As XBIZ has reported, other performers — such as Allie Eve Knox and Siri Dahl — and studios, including Wasteland, have also entered the NFT marketplace.
