LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support has launched a competition with PervOut Productions to encourage veteran performers to share their knowledge with newcomers to the industry.
The competition, which runs until February 17, calls on established performers to record a Zoom conversation with a performer that is new to the industry, teaching about or discussing a chosen topic.
The winning video will be chosen on February 17 and a trophy will be awarded to both performers, with the new performer also receiving a new MacBook Pro laptop.
"We want to encourage random acts of kindness in the industry, so we're calling on experienced performers to share their knowledge and experience with a newcomer," said Lance Hart, founder of PervOut Productions.
“Topics could include anything from how to get booked more to how to increase your social media following or even budgeting tips and financial advice,” said Hart. “Whatever your skill set or expertise, we want you to pay it forward and help new performers succeed."
Pineapple Support’s founder Leya Tanit explained that ”as a newcomer to the adult industry, it can be difficult to access the knowledge needed to succeed, which is why peer education is incredibly important. With mentorship and knowledge sharing initiatives like this, new performers can not only learn about on-the-job specifics, but can also gain invaluable insight into what it takes to be a successful adult performer."
Those wishing to enter the competition should send their recorded Zoom conversation, via Dropbox, to lance@pervout.com and include the social media handles of both performers.
The competition will run until February 17, when the winners will be announced via social media.
Videos will be hosted in the education area of PervOut.com.
