LOS ANGELES — Discrimination against sex workers and "whorephobia" will be among the main topics of discussion when academic and sex worker Mistress Snow steps in as guest moderator of tomorrow's edition of the Twitter-based chat show #SexTalkTuesday.
The discussion, produced by Sssh.com founder Angie Rowntree, will unspool from 5-6 p.m. (PST).
"Especially at such a crucial time for the sex industry, we are thrilled to have someone as dynamic as Mistress Snow moderate this week’s segment of #SexTalkTuesday," Rowntree said. "This issue impacts sex workers and content creators of every variety, and at every career level, so we are really looking forward to hearing the wide range of perspectives and experiences."
Mistress Snow, a writer, professor and Dominatrix, "has been in-and-out of sex work for the past 15 years and recently earned her PhD in the humanities," noted a rep. "When she isn’t putting out her cigarettes on eager mens' tongues, she writes and researches on issues of power and labor. Her life and work has been featured in both the Chronicle of Higher Ed and The Daily Beast."
