PARIS — Jacquie et Michel Group has announced the implementation of My18Pass protection across its suite of adult paysites following "months of internal development."
"My18Pass is currently being set on the whole group’s network, and will be available to every operator of the business who would like to benefit from a handy and reliable protection system," a rep explained. "This system will be able to check — as soon as [users] arrive on a site which provides adult content — if the user is old enough through credit card-based verification."
The rep noted plans are on the boards to add "ID-based verification — identity card and passport — to the process."
My18Pass is based on OpenID protocol which allows users to authenticate themselves on several websites without having to remember logins for each one of them by using a unique user ID every time.
"By never recording or transferring any personal data, it guarantees a total protection of the user," said the rep. "Thanks to this technology, the Jacquie et Michel Group benefits from an additional tool — the group’s websites have used the RTA Label for many years — in order to ensure that no minor can easily access to sensitive content."
