Adsterra Marks Success of 'Social Bar' Ad Format

LOS ANGELES — Global advertising network Adsterra is marking the successful launch, earlier this year, of its Social Bar ad format, utilized by over 600 current advertisers and 11,000 publishers.

"Social Bar is a brand-new ad format developed by Adsterra. A/B testing and further clients' campaigns have shown 10-30 times higher CTRs and significantly better post-click performance, outperforming other ad formats," a rep explained. "Social Bar's user-friendly design incentivizes even those who usually ignore any ads."

"This format is also great on both desktop and mobile devices and will be a good fit for platforms of all sizes, including iOS," added the rep.

According to Head of Sales Arthur Galiev, the danger of losing profit due to the latest Google Chrome update "has become way too real."

"The entire industry has been adding different types of In-Page Push to its platforms. But we decided to go ahead and create something that can offer users more options, personalization, and as a result, higher profits," Galiev added. "With Social Bar, imagination is your only limit."

Social Bar includes five "highly engaging" ad types: Custom Banners (HTML/CSS widget of any shape or transparency), In-Page Push, Chat, Survey, Messenger Bubble and Video Bars.

Social Bar is available on both publisher and advertiser dashboards for a self-serve launch, "though clients can yet use some of the creatives with the manager's help," noted the rep. "Adsterra's AI optimization algorithm selects creatives, formats and campaigns that are the most relevant to [publishers'] traffic, ensuring users will see content that is sure to grab their attention."

Benefits of the Social Bar include:

  • 10-30 times higher Click-Through Rate (CTR) compared to web push, leading to a higher conversion rate
  • Works exceptionally well on iOS, dramatically increasing ad reach (U.S. geos are on top in terms of volumes and CR)
  • Highly dynamic and customizable
  • A/B testing of up to 15 creatives at a time
  • Higher CPM rates for publishers thanks to high visibility & user interaction
  • Non-aggressive advertising meets Google rule
