HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Amberly Rothfield has penned an article for InsideHook.com about "the growing celebrity influence on OnlyFans and what it may mean for adult content creators."
Rothfield, whose focus is on empowering models and performers, is "concerned about the future of the platform, and points out that other large platforms, such as Twitch and YouTube, have originally allowed suggestive content," a rep explained. "But, she points out, these platforms typically begin to crack down on content that advertisers consider to be unacceptable. OnlyFans does not rely on advertisements, but celebrities may threaten to leave the platform to avoid being associated with the adult industry, taking their revenue with them."
Rothfield advised caution. "I don’t want models to think they need to abandon the platform. OnlyFans could stay true to their word and allow the adult industry to continue using it. But they might not, and I don’t want models to be caught unaware," she warned.
