LOS ANGELES — Activist, sexpert and Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake is inviting adult industry members to join her on Team Wicked in support of this year's AIDS Walk Los Angeles, which will be held virtually for the first time due to the pandemic.
Drake's Team Wicked is an annual tradition that has raised over $130,000 for HIV/AIDS research, treatment and prevention.
"Team Wicked will be putting its efforts behind the Support Walk," a rep explained, "which raises awareness and funds for nutritious meals, counseling, housing and critical programs benefiting older adults living with HIV. It also provides resources and funding for AIDS Walk L.A.’s transgender support programs and women’s wellness programs which help the community stay healthy and well, regardless of HIV status."
"Once a participant has registered with Team Wicked, they can customize and promote their fundraising page in a myriad of ways," said the rep. "There is no minimum requirement to raise."
Drake remains devoted to the cause, despite the cancellation of the actual walk.
“AIDS Walk is an event I hold close to my heart and look forward to every year. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the event will be moved to an online platform, but our goal is no different," she said. "I want to personally invite every member of the adult industry to join us in solidarity to help raise funds for a segment of the population severely susceptible to coronavirus, and could use our assistance more than ever."
"We hope everyone is able to come together to create awareness and raise funds for an organization which has united to support persons who have been affected by HIV and AIDS," she concluded.
