MOYOCK, N.C. — The Home Pleasure Party Plan Association (HPPPA) conducted a training and open discussion session entitled, "Guidelines and Recommendations for Reopening a Home Party Plan During and After a Pandemic."
The session, which was held in May, discussed state and local mandates, considerations when booking parties and ways to start doing business with minimal face-to-face interaction.
The workshop covered aspects of booking parties, safety considerations when going into a hostess' home, how to disinfect demo and display items, the "new" normal for doing face-to-face business during a pandemic, considerations for modified return policies and more.
"We tried to make sure we covered the full spectrum of concerns a party plan owner might have and we wanted to incorporate their ideas as well." said Kim Varner, member services manager for HPPPA.
The HPPPA is an association created to address the needs of the home pleasure party plan independent owner. For more information, email Tamara Bell at tamara@hpppa.org.
