CHICAGO — Male celebrity nudity site MrMan.com is touting the availability to members of steamy scenes from the acclaimed 2017 gay indie romance "God's Own Country." Its director, Francis Lee, made headlines this week when he claimed the passionate footage had been cut from the version now streaming on Amazon Prime.
Mr. Man is offering the censored footage with a free seven-day trial membership.
"'God's Own Country' is one of the best gay films of the last decade, and MrMan has all the scenes that Amazon Prime is neglecting to show," explained a company rep, "so we are giving viewers a free week of MrMan to anyone who wants to see them."
The film, starring Josh O'Connor and Alec Secareanu, follows a transformative love affair between a young farmer and a Romanian migrant worker and is "a beloved fan-favorite" among MrMan members, noted the rep, having earned a 2019 'Manatomy' Award for Best Gay Scene.
The actors "engage in multiple hot scenes that show their naked bodies and their passion... unfortunately, the version streaming on Amazon Prime was censored by the film’s U.S. distributor, Samuel Goldwyn Films. If you're feeling robbed of the very essence of the movie after renting on Amazon Prime, come see the uncensored and uncut scenes at MrMan."

Dear USA friends, after investigation God’s Own Country was not censored by @PrimeVideo (Amazon USA) but by the US distributor @GoldwynFilms who butchered the streaming version without consultation to get more ‘revenue’ .@PrimeVideo were incredibly supportive in rectifying 1/2 https://t.co/xDQP4ThaiK
