LOS ANGELES — The Stockroom has reported that it experienced a break-in last week at its downtown Los Angeles brick-and-mortar outlet where burglars took at least 29 Syren Latex dresses valued at $7,460.
In a Facebook post, the company shared surveillance video of the incident which occurred on May 15 at 5 a.m.
“It's possible that this was a onetime thing, but they may also be casing other fetish stores, so we urge other businesses in the Los Angeles area to please be careful,” the company said. “For those in the community who value our work and our name, please be on the lookout for people trying to sell Syren Latex dresses through unusual channels. As much as we'd like to recover the goods, it's more important to prevent more incidents like this. These are hard times for all of us right now, and this predatory behavior makes it even harder.”
The Stockroom can be found in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles at 1769 Glendale Boulevard.
Until California lockdown restrictions are entirely lifted, The Stockroom’s retail store is operating with limited hours and curbside service. Store hours are currently 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
