BERLIN — A group of Berlin-based independent adult filmmakers have banded together to create "Sex in Times of Corona," billed as a "corona solidarity film," to raise money for an emergency fund for sex workers.
The group of 16 filmmakers conceived and created the project with a budget of "less than €60" with "mini-teams of sheltering cohabitants creating short sections while following local COVID-19 preventative laws," explained a representative.
Those who make a donation to BesD — the Berufsverband erotische und sexuelle Dienstleistungen Emergency Fund — and send a screenshot of their donation to coronasolidarityfilm@gmail.com will receive a link to the film.
A donation of €50 or more will unlock a longer, explicit version of several clips and behind-the-scenes vignettes.
"The group has raised more than €5,500 and plan to continue honoring donations at least until the end of May," said the rep. "Sex workers and adult businesses around the world are facing discrimination in government relief projects. Fortunately, our communities are as resourceful and creative as they are resilient against sexual persecution and censorship."
Contributing filmmakers include Apollo, Frau Dark, Doxytocine, Candy Flip, Johnny Jane, Hyenaz, Toni Karat, Katybit (Cum Different), Dolores Maria, Theo Meow, Finn Peaks, Jo Pollux, Manon Praline, Harvey Rabbit, spir@lena and others.
