LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support will host “Using Creativity To Create A New Normal,” a free webinar led by therapist Nicoletta von Heidegger.
The online presentation will focus on self-care during isolation and will be available to all adult industry workers live, on April 24.
The one-hour session is aimed at expanding current self-care routines to account for added stressors during the COVID-19 isolation period. Von Heidegger will discuss ideas on how to keep your mind and body healthy, as well as practice breathing and relaxation exercises for those suffering with anxiety.
“This is a strange and unprecedented time for all of us,” said von Heidegger. “Join me for a collaborative discussion about how to create a balanced routine during all of this uncertainty. Many of our lives, businesses, self-care routines and relationships are being put to the test or have been totally up-ended. Come learn some expanded self-care skills and tools to make a creative plan for your new normal.”
Pineapple Support was founded in 2018 by British performer Leya Tanit, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The nonprofit has so far connected over 1,000 adult performers to mental health services, therapy, counseling and emotional support.
Tanit stated that “these are uncertain times, and it is easy to forget to take time to look after yourself and your mental wellbeing. It is understandable that many will be experiencing anxiety and heightened emotions. This webinar provides practical advice on how to cope emotionally during a lockdown.”
The self-care webinar will be held live on April 24 at 11 a.m. (PDT).
