PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Williams Trading Co. has updated its official blog with more tips and tricks to assist customers sheltering in place during the ongoing pandemic. The most recent update includes advice on proper safety procedures while grocery shopping.
"Williams Trading is dedicated to supporting their customers with weekly content on best practices during COVID-19, and are offering a lot of great content on a variety of platforms," a rep explained.
The list of best practices while shopping for groceries includes:
- "Plan your shopping trip early in the morning or late at night, when store traffic is less busy. Many grocery stores are offering early hour entry for senior citizens."
- "When you arrive at the store, please make sure you disinfect the handle of your cart before touching it."
- "At home after the grocery store trip please make sure you wash your hands, kitchen counter and any other surfaces you’ve touched. Do this after you’ve put away the groceries."
- "At home, follow food safety guidelines: clean, separate, cook, chill. There is no evidence that food or food packaging has been linked to getting sick from COVID-19."
