San Francisco PornFilmFestival Shifts to Virtual Livestream Event

SAN FRANCISCO — Pink and White Productions has announced that the inaugural 2020 San Francisco PornFilmFestival, set to take place on August 20-21, will now stream online, live from San Francisco.

The shift to a virtual festival platform comes as a response to global "shelter-at-home" measures put in place to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. Originally set to screen at San Francisco's Brava Theater, the festival will now make its debut online for a "virtual celebration of cinema and technology," said a rep.

"Now, filmmakers and porn aficionados from around the world can come together online to take delight in erotic films that champion sexual diversity and artistic ingenuity, and enjoy live conversations with international guests amongst other interactive elements," the rep continued.

Notably, the inaugural San Francisco PornFilmFestival coincides with the 50th anniversary of the city's International Erotic Film Festival, which broke ground in its own respect, making San Francisco the first city in the country to host a public screening of hardcore sex.

Now, Pink and White Productions says that they aim to honor the city’s sexual cinematic legacy, regardless of whether the festival takes place at a local theater or broadcast to a global online audience.

San Francisco PornFilmFestival’s virtual premiere is powered by indie adult film platform PinkLabel.tv.

A call for submissions opens on Friday, April 10. Films will be submitted through FilmFreeway. Contact info@sfpornfilmfestival.com for online sponsorship opportunities and more information.
