Giddy Releases 'Eddie,' a New Medical Device to Treat ED

AUSTIN, Texas — Sexual health and wellness company Giddy has announced the launch of Eddie, a medical device to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

Eddie is described by the company as a utility-patented, FDA-Registered Class II Medical Device for ED. It is the first release from their line of products and interactive educational platforms "disrupting," in the words of a Giddy rep, the sexual health and wellness sector.

"Most men and couples have experienced ED, but few ever talk about it," said the rep. "The most complete study of ED released in 2017 revealed that 40 percent of men over the age of 18 experience ED; over 47.5 million men in the US alone. There are 28 million women and 4 million men currently in a relationship with someone experiencing ED. And, 90 percent of women with more than 3 sexual partners in their lifetime will be in a relationship with someone with ED."

Giddy spent three years in research and development before bringing Eddie into the market.

The company asserts Eddie is "a groundbreaking product designed by urologists, engineers and mathematicians created specifically to promote penile rigidity in men with ED. The device’s utility-patented, dynamic tension system is the first of its kind, designed to help sustain blood flow into the penis without constricting the arteries or the urethra like traditional constriction rings."

Giddy's approach is an alternative to traditional, pill-based methods of ED treatment.

"Without any requirement for a prescription," added the rep, "Giddy not only empowers men — it empowers the partners of those with ED to make a buying decision which can positively affect their partner's ED and take agency over their relationship and sexual health and wellness."

Eddie retails for $99. The company commits to fulfilling U.S. orders within one business day, with customers receiving delivery within seven to 10 days of purchase, with expedited options also available for an additional fee.

Every Eddie includes access to an online, interactive educational platform called "The ED Guide." The guide features testimony and information from experts in health and wellness, and it was designed to address the mental and emotional aspects of ED.
