LOS ANGELES — Soft Leather, a group that hosts weekly BDSM parties in warehouses across Los Angeles, is expanding into a lifestyle brand and taking part in community outreach.
Started by Johnny Love and Paparazzi, two L.A. nightlife impresarios, Soft Leather has been described as a "safe haven for freaks, queers, drag queens, darkwave daddies and the people who love them." The brand is moving into community outreach by donating to the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC).
"We believe in giving back and strengthening the community by supporting sex workers and their rights," said Love. "We have created partnerships with advocates such as Kink.com and Stockroom to raise awareness and reinforce our commitment to helping those in need."
Since its founding in 2014, Soft Leather has expanded into a lifestyle brand centered on the BDSM scene and EBM, Italo Disco, Acid House, Dark Wave and Techno music.
"We are interested in not only providing Soft Leather guests a sanctuary to mingle and create, but to discover, learn, evolve, engage and open their minds," Love concluded, "while also making the world a more loving, giving place — one person at a time.
