LOS ANGELES — The national chapter of Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP USA), the social justice network dedicated to protecting and advocating for people involved in the sex trade and their communities, is seeking a new Executive Director.
Duties include fostering the stability and growth of the organization and its network of sex worker organizations and activists; researching and writing grants; managing staff; serving as an intermediary between SWOP and other grassroots and philanthropic organizations; writing annual reports; designing and producing promotional materials; and serving as one of the public and media representatives of the group.
A key task will be to coordinate and lead SWOP’s annual commemoration of International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers on December 17.
“Queer, trans and POC individuals with experience in sex work are highly encouraged to apply. If selected for this position, we are asking the individual to commit to a two year at minimum term,” a representative notes.
