ASACP Returns to Lisbon for TES Later This Year

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) and Tim Henning, its executive director, will return to The European Summit (TES) in Lisbon later this year.

The event is set for February 28 to March 2 at the Oitavas Hotel in Cascais, Portugal. TES is billed as “Europe’s leading B2B conference for the online industry, delivered with a European flair,” a rep notes, with a focus on gathering together representatives from the affiliate, billing, casual dating, domain name, mobile tech, website services and traffic segments.

Henning will network with attendees during the event to educate and inform about ASACP’s mission. He will also discuss the newest generation of age verification technology, a ripped-from-the headlines topic in Europe.

“The incredibly generous support that TES has shown over the years to ASACP and its mission of keeping [minors] out of and away from adult entertainment is humbling for us, and is one of the sources of encouragement we rely upon to carry out that mission,” Henning said.

“The numerous decision-makers in attendance at TES tackle timely topics,” he continued, “such as the need to protect [minors] in their daily digital lives and provide a vital venue for the Association to educate the industry about the benefits and services offered by ASACP.”

It is important for the industry to support ASACP and to help in the effort to protect [minors] online, TES principal Andreas Bischoff said.

“A truly remarkable team of individuals, ASACP should constantly receive support from our entire industry,” he continued. “We are proud to once again host the Association at our event and help it to do its good work that helps us all.”

TES organizers provide “an unparalleled level of support,” notes Henning, which includes a sponsor banner at the venue; online ad placement; social media e-blasts; and a spot at table No. 27 for the “Meet Market” networking event; as well as free show admission and a complimentary hotel room to Henning.

ASACP’s official Travel Sponsor, DialXS, will also underwrite Henning’s travel expenses.

“This support underpins the effectiveness of ASACP’s European outreach and makes a real difference in the association’s abilities to influence stakeholders,” Henning added.

“From ASACP’s RTA labeling program to our Tipline that has processed more than a million reports, and the range of other resources and services we provide,” he concluded, “all of this is only possible through the continued generosity of our sponsors and the true industry leadership they commit to — and for this, we say ‘thank you.’”
