GFY Webmaster Forum Joins ASACP as Newest Media Sponsor

LOS ANGELES — GFY.com is the newest In-Kind Media Sponsor of the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP).

GFY.com was launched in 2001 as an adult webmaster forum and has “grown into a hub of information and interaction,” a rep enthused.

“I’ve long admired the work that ASACP does to protect children online and have also served on the association’s Advisory Council, where I had a behind-the-scenes view of its efforts and achievements,” Theo from GFY explained. “With an election year upon us, it’s vital for the industry to show unity and that it is dedicated to keeping kids safe without the need for governmental interference.”

GFY.com will display the ASACP logo, promote the org on social media and assist with ASACP’s attendance at industry trade shows.

“By helping ASACP to educate industry stakeholders about the technology and tools available to them, the Association is making a real difference,” Theo added. “GFY is proud to take part in that effort.”

ASACP thanked GFY for their sponsorship.

“ASACP is extremely grateful to GFY for its extended support in our battle to protect the innocence of youth on the internet,” said the org’s Tim Henning. “The digital media industry is on the forefront of the need for online child protection and as an industry leader, GFY’s support of the Association sends a very powerful message.”

“Through their generosity,” he continued, “ASACP will reach countless frontline operators, providing them with the education and free resources they need to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials, helping to make the internet a safer place.”

ASACP uses its sponsor support to fund initiatives such as its internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million CP reports since its inception; ASACP’s multiple award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta labeling system that helps prevent access by minors to adult-oriented web pages and mobile apps; market-specific Best Practices; and a universal Code of Ethics help guide digital media companies towards child-safe operation.
