KENT, U.K. — Sahara Knite has been named the newly elected chairperson of United Kingdom Adult Professionals (UKAP).
In her new role, Knite hopes to bring together the U.K.'s adult industry and provide members from all branches of adult with quality support and advice.
The formerly producer-led organization has since rebranded "from the group up," as reps reveal, presenting itself now as a "more inclusive operation" with the hopes of attracting members from all facets of adult.
The all-new UKAP is reportedly compiling input and feedback from performers and industry allies about what they want from their association to forge a closer working relationship with a more diverse community of members.
As per a UKAP rep, "Members will now reap considerable benefits from UKAP, including seeking advice about getting into the industry, taking care of their mental and physical health, and attaining information on testing."
"The association will also provide members with special discount offers from a variety of sources," they continued, "including accountants; lawyers; hair, cosmetic and clothing suppliers; photographers; videographers; editors; studios and more as an additional benefit of membership."
Knite has been in the adult industry since 2004. Prior to her role as chairperson, she was a UKAP committee member working on the health side, working with private health referrers for affordable testing for performers.
Of her new role, Knite commented, “The U.K. is once again becoming a solid base for the adult industry in Europe. We have seen a huge growth in the number of performers, studios and other adult-oriented companies in the last few years.
"Now is the time to organize and support one another, so that’s why we are rethinking UKAP’s role in the industry. We have many goals, and I’m excited to be heading up a strong team as we work towards them,” she concluded.
