LOS ANGELES — A multi-pronged project that encompasses a photobook, website and blog, among other features, officially debuted today as MyAltarBoys.com with a quartet of gay adult stars at its center.
Gabriel Alanzo, Tom Faulk and Brandon Wilde play sensual, sexual “altar boys” with Dylan James as their “hard pope.” The men are the focus of the photobook “My Altar Boys” and related website. They will reign for one year, when a new set of taboo-fantasy religious figures will be unveiled.
The entire project will be celebrated tonight with a launch party at The Abbey in West Hollywood.
Johnny Rebel is the mastermind of “My Altar Boys” and brings to the table five years of industry experience in gay adult advertising.
“‘Johnny Rebel’ is my alter ego, my public persona for the brand and the website,” he told XBIZ, shortly after the website went live. “It reflects my thoughts and point of view on many things and as it relates to the gay adult entertainment world.”
Although MyAltarBoys.com won’t be “a hardcore gay sex site” at first, they do link to affiliate partner content. “We will be carrying reviews, commentary and bios on the porn stars and the videos,” said Rebel. “As the site grows, there may be a membership option as well as original content produced in conjunction with the telling of the ‘Altar Boys’ series.”
The photobook, fully titled “My Altar Boys: Lead Us Into Temptation,” is 150 pages of “stimulating photographs… that tell a gay erotic fantasy about rebelling against the religious norm,” a rep said. “This book is a visual feast as these provocative gay men take you through acts of contrition, seduction and revenge.”
Rebel will join James and Wilde tonight at The Abbey beginning with red-carpet arrivals and continuing with festivities hosted by performer and drag star Rhea Litré. Swiss Navy and Fleshjack are providing sponsorship support.
