Clips4Sale's Legal Zone to Tackle AB 5, Intellectual Property

Clips4Sale's Legal Zone to Tackle AB 5, Intellectual Property

TAMPA, Fla. — The next episode of the Clips4Sale Legal Zone podcast is set for Monday, October 14, at 1 p.m. (PDT), when Clips4Sale owner Neil and noted attorneys Corey D. Silverstein and Larry Walters will cover legal issues that affect the industry.

This episode will discuss California’s Assembly Bill (AB) 5, which will reclassify the status of many independent contractors to employees, and is set to take effect in January 2020. This could change the game for many adult producers in California or anyone who works with California-based companies.

Another important topic that will be covered is intellectual property rights, including trademarks and copyrighting.

“Intellectual property is a content producer’s most valuable asset,” Walters explained. “Learning to properly protect and enforce IP rights is critical to the success of any producer. I look forward to shedding some light on these important issues.”

The live show will be available here and archived here.

In related news, Neil this week confirmed a "strategic partnership" between Clips4Sale and MindGeek.
