LOS ANGELES — The 35th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles occurs Sunday, October 20 and Jessica Drake is making her final push for adult industry colleagues and fans to join or contribute to Team Wicked.
Drake has led Team Wicked for nearly a decade for the annual 6.2-mile walk and has raised over $115,000 for HIV and AIDS research, treatment and prevention. “Beyond its fundraising success and its awareness efforts, Team Wicked has been a mainstay demonstrating the industry’s solidarity for the cure and research of AIDS and HIV — a cause near-and-dear to its members,” a studio rep said.
Drake enthused about the support Team Wicked has received and urged others to join the cause. “I’m really proud of the awesome response we’ve received for Team Wicked this year and as we approach the day of the event I’d like to make a final call to our industry to join us on October 20,” she said.
“AIDS Walk Los Angeles is an exciting opportunity to support a great cause and make a difference in the lives of those who are living with AIDS and HIV in our communities, and it’s also important to support each other within the industry. Even if you’ve never done anything like this, it’s easy,” she explained. “There’s no minimum requirement to raise, and there’s plenty of help along the way. My birthday brunch happens right afterward. I hope to see you there!”
