LOS ANGELES — Maitland Ward, former "Boy Meets World" star-turned-adult-actress, has reached the number-one spot on Google Trends today, spotlighting her role in Deeper's first feature film, "Drive."
According to reps, Ward has been featured in The Toronto Sun, In Touch Weekly, Yahoo! News, The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Sun, New Zealand Herald and Unilad, amongst other publications in the last 48 hours alone, all of which have been eager to profile the performer on her career shift from television to adult cinema.
In her own words, Ward shared, “This has been an intense journey for me, and the ability to work on such an amazing film was a wonderful experience. The response has been nothing short of incredible, and I appreciate everyone who has reached out and shared with me how this movie made them feel.”
Written, directed and produced by Kayden Kross, "Drive" stars Ward in her first adult feature film role alongside Angela White in what is being touted as a "dark and provocative drama" involving an "intense faceoff" that explores "the nature of sexuality and the lengths we will go to control it," available now on DVD and to be released exclusively on Deeper.com.
Drawing inspiration from Elizabeth Kubler-Ross's "On Death and Dying," the film takes the audience on a journey traversing the five stages of grief as a mystic (Ward) guides White through a "psychological unraveling" with a hidden agenda of her own that's revealed along the way.
Ward shared, "It was such an amazing experience to work on a production that brings such creative vision to life. My character was like none I’ve played and Kayden as a director got me to this powerfully dark and sensual place that I’m excited for the audience to see.”
