MONTREAL — The Devil himself contends with three devious cheerleaders in Joanna Angel's “Three Cheers for Satan,” premiering on Adult Time October 8.
The four-episode limited series, directed by Angel, begins in 1999 when a trio of cheerleaders — Kira Noir, Kenzie Reeves and Jane Wilde — strike a dangerous pact with Lucifer (Small Hands) that guarantees eternal youth and beauty – for a price, namely a virgin sacrifice in 20 years’ time.
Bree Mills, chief creative officer for Adult Time, enthused about Angel’s latest offering. “Joanna is the queen of horror comedy and this new feature is perfect evidence of this!” she said.
Episode Two (premiering October 15), pairs Noir and Reeves with a handsome photographer (Kyle Mason), while in Episode Three (October 22) the cheerleaders are desperate to find a virgin to offer up to the Devil.
“On the eve of the girls’ 20th high school reunion, Kira and Kenzie have found a virgin in nerdy ‘warlock’ Tommy Pistol. Jane really likes Tommy and doesn’t want to see her friend sacrificed, so she decides to save him by taking his virginity first,” a rep said. Episode Four (October 29) concludes the series with Satan’s planned virgin sacrifice. “But the sacrifice backfires, with Jane morphing into her thirtysomething self (Angel), and Tommy (now in the form of Alex Legend) stealing Kira and Kenzie’s beauty for himself!”
Angel praised her cast. “Spooky season has started early, and we are celebrating on Burning Angel,” she said. “I’m incredibly proud of this movie — it’s got laughter, blood, romance and sex — all my passions in life combined! Kenzie, Kira and Jane were the absolute perfect trio of cheerleaders, Small Hands so naturally played the Devil and Tommy was hysterical in his nerdy warlock character. I couldn’t be more proud.”
