Nutaku Marks National Video Games Day, Reveals Adult Gaming Stats

MONTREAL — In celebration of National Video Games Day, Nutaku.net has shared growth stats showcasing an ever-expanding corner of the market that has become increasingly difficult to dismiss.

According to the company, it has played a prominent role in the rise of adult gaming, driving the industry and how game developers can turn a profit. With less than 1 percent of games finding financial success on the traditional mainstream app stores, Nutaku offers developers another shot at success, giving them an opportunity in the less saturated, growing adult gaming market. Their 18-plus portal now offers over 300 titles for both PC and mobile users.

Website Growth
In 2018, Nutaku closed in on 70 million monthly visits. In 2019, the site has generated 130 million monthly visits, resulting in an increase of 86 percent in one year.

Nutaku has garnered 1.86 billion visits over four years. The website now ranks in the Top 300 websites in the world, making it the largest platform in the adult gaming market.

Player Growth
In 2018, Nutaku totaled 25 million registered players. In 2019, the number of registered players has now increased to 40 million, a 60 percent rise in one year. As a result of onboarding more inclusive titles, Nutaku’s female player growth percentage has elevated from 6 percent in 2015 to 30 percent in 2019.

In December 2018, Nutaku revealed the launch of its LGBTQ+ Games section, which has since grown to offer a selection of over 40 inclusive games. Subsequently, Nutaku’s number of LGBTQ+ gamers has grown from less than 1 percent in 2015 to 6 percent in 2019.

By increasing the number of mobile games and introducing an Android App Store, Nutaku has sought to gratify the growing mobile gaming market, with the percentage of mobile players flourishing from 37 percent in 2018 to 49 percent in 2019.
