SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Karmen Karma is announcing the publication of her book “Overcome: A Memoir Of Abuse, Addiction, Sex Work, and Recovery,” which is ranked #1 as a New Release in the Pornography category on Kindle and the "Study of Pornography" category on Audible.
“Primarily focused on her addiction and depression, Karmen eventually finds sobriety and happiness in life,” said a rep. “She hopes her graphic story can help anyone else who is struggling in and out of the industry.”
“I share every detail of my journey into the adult industry which I know a lot of fans are always curious about. I also share about my entire career, the ups and the downs, including the situations of sexual harassment I have faced on set. It wasn’t easy to write but I knew it was important to share my story in hopes that other performers can relate and learn,” Karma told XBIZ.
Karma added that even if she loves the adult industry and considers it her home, there are still many issues that she thinks people don’t like to talk about.
“Although I made a point to shed only a positive light on the industry to outsiders, there are some bad people, just like in any other industry. I didn’t want to ignore all the issues us performers face,” Karma said. “It will be a good read for anyone in the industry and also for anyone curious about the porn industry.”
Karmen Karma’s “Overcome: A Memoir Of Abuse, Addiction, Sex Work, and Recovery” is now available via online retailers and independent bookstores.
Karmen Karma also wrote about her book and her experiences for the June issue of XBIZ World.
