CCBill Says Farewell to The Phoenix Forum

LOS ANGELES — Stating that “the industry needs have evolved,” Gary Jackson, CCBill’s vice president of sales and marketing, has announced with mixed emotions that the company will not continue The Phoenix Forum for 2020.

In a statement posted to XBIZ.net, Jackson wrote, “We thank the industry and our many supporters for their backing, commitment and love since 2001. The industry needs have evolved, and so must the trade events which support so many parts of our diverse community.

It was a humble end (or at least an indeterminate pause) for an industry legacy that was long considered “a family affair” and the gold standard of adult webmaster events.

“We designed and evolved The Phoenix Forum over the years, as a way to connect with those people that we love and care about in this crazy business we all support — those people that we call our ‘family,’” Jackson wrote on the TPF blog. “Our focus has always remained on one goal: to promote business and connections for our family — our business community.”

“Just as the spirit of JoAnn and Frank Cadwell's hospitality has flourished with our Forum,” he added, “the spirit of The Phoenix Forum will continue to live on within the people at CCBill, and within those friends in the industry that we are honored to call our family.”
