Czech Producers Issue Statement on HIV Alert, Production Hold

PRAGUE — Producers Tarra White and Jonathan “JT” Todd, on behalf of an alliance of Czech Republic-based agents, producers and performers, have issued a statement regarding the recently confirmed positive test for HIV in Spain and a subsequent European production hold.

“Porno” Dan Leal, Budapest-based producer and CEO of Immoral Productions, first alerted the industry to a potential HIV-positive test and called for the production hold; click here for his statement.

The U.S.-based Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has also weighed in. Read their statement here.

The full statement from the Prague coalition follows:

In light of the recent positive HIV case, confirmed on the 13th Feb., Czech adult industry agents, producers and performers came together in the evening of Tuesday, 19th Feb., to lay the foundation (for) an alliance of the Czech adult industry.

From our meeting, the following points were voted on and we are releasing the following statement:

  • The Czech Republic will hold quarantine until a minimum of 13th March 2019. This is 28 days from HIV confirmation.
  • Performers will need to show two consecutive negative tests for HIV before they can start to shoot again.
  • Moving forward, we will only accept performers' tests that are a maximum of 14 days old.
  • We will continue with our current forms of testing, which will include HIV-2, from a list of approved clinics.
  • To make performers aware of the drug PrEP and (to urge) them to consult with their own doctors about the possible benefits of taking this drug.

It is our intention, by creating this alliance, that we provide the safest environment and best practices, not only for our Czech actors and producers, but also for the many foreigners coming to the Czech Republic.
